# llms.txt and Markdown pages

> Every page of these docs is also plain text an AI can read: an llms.txt that lists them, one file with all of them, and a Markdown copy of each page.

## The files

| Address | What it holds |
|---|---|
| `getmontage.ai/llms.txt` | The whole site: features, alternatives, showcase, blog, and a link to the docs' llms.txt. |
| `getmontage.ai/docs/llms.txt` | Every docs page, one line each, by section. |
| `getmontage.ai/docs/llms-full.txt` | Every docs page in one file. |
| `getmontage.ai/docs/<section>/<page>.md` | One page in Markdown, e.g. `/docs/export/quality.md`. |

The buttons at the top of each page use the same Markdown: **Copy page for AI**, **Ask Claude about this page** and **View as Markdown**.

## How to use them

- Give your AI `getmontage.ai/docs/llms.txt` when you ask it a question about Montage: it finds the right page.
- Put `getmontage.ai/docs/llms-full.txt` in your project's context (Cursor, Claude Code) to give it all the docs at once.
- Paste one page's `.md` address when you only need that page.

## The format

llms.txt follows llmstxt.org: the name, a one-line summary, then sections of links with a note each. Every page points to its Markdown copy, so an AI that lands on a page finds the text.

## Questions

### Does llms.txt help Montage show up in Google?

No. Google says AI Overviews need no special file. llms.txt is for AIs that read docs when you ask them, like Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor.

### Is the Markdown always the same as the page?

Yes, both are made from the same text when the docs are published.
