# Connect another AI

> Any AI that takes a remote MCP server with sign-in can use Montage: ChatGPT, Codex, VS Code and others, with the same server URL.

## What every AI needs

| Asked by your AI | Montage's answer |
|---|---|
| Server URL | `https://app.getmontage.ai/mcp` |
| Kind of server | Remote, over HTTP |
| Sign-in | OAuth: your AI opens Montage, you sign in and press **Allow**. No key to copy. |
| Plan | The workspace on Pro, Max or Ultra |

## ChatGPT

1. In ChatGPT, open **Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced** and turn on developer mode.
1. Press **Create** and paste the server URL.
1. Press **Connect**, then **Allow** in Montage.

## Codex

```
codex mcp add montage --url https://app.getmontage.ai/mcp
```

Then sign in when Codex asks, and press **Allow** in Montage.

## VS Code and others

In VS Code, run **MCP: Add Server** from the Command Palette and give it the server URL. In any other AI, look for « remote MCP server », « custom connector » or « HTTP server » in its settings and paste the same URL.

## Questions

### Is there an API key instead of signing in?

No. Montage's MCP server signs you in with OAuth only: your AI acts as you, in your workspace.

### My AI only takes local servers.

Montage's server is remote only.
