# Comment on the picture

> Leave notes on your video the way you would for an editor: on the whole video, on a moment, or on a spot of the picture. Then **Fix all** sends them to Montage at once.

## Three kinds of comment

| Kind | How | Example |

| **On the whole video** | Write it in the Comments box and send. | « The music is too loud » |
| **On a moment** | Press the time button under the box (« 0:16 »). It turns violet: your comment is at that moment. Press it again (×) for the whole video. | « @0:16 Cut this pause » |
| **On the picture** | Pause the video and click where you mean. « Comment here » shows under the pointer; a bubble opens on the spot, at that moment. | « @0:24 This logo is cut off » |

## Comment on a spot, step by step

1. Play the video and click the picture to pause it where you want.
1. Click the spot you mean. A bubble opens there, with the moment on top.
1. Write in « Comment on this spot… », then press **Enter** or the arrow. **Escape** closes the bubble.

In the list, a comment on the picture shows that frame with your pin on the spot.

## Find a comment again

- Each comment on a moment has a pin under the player's bar. Press it to go there.
- A comment on the picture shows its pin on the picture during its second, while Comments is open.
- Press a comment in the list to go to its moment. A moment written in a comment, like « @0:16 », shows in violet.

## Resolve, and show resolved

Put the pointer on a comment and press ✓ (**Resolve**): it leaves the list. The icon beside **Fix all**, **Show resolved**, brings resolved comments back, faded; their ✓ reads **Open again**.

> **Comments do not change the video on their own.** Montage reads them only when someone presses [Fix all](/docs/edit/fix-all).

## Questions

### Can a client comment without an account?

Yes. Someone you share the video with comments from the link, with a name and an email. Resolving and Fix all are for your team.

### Can I comment on a phone?

Yes. Comments opens as a sheet, and a tap on the paused picture opens the bubble there.

### Does a comment use credits?

No. Credits are used when Montage makes the changes, after **Fix all**.
