Components

A component is a piece of a video you keep for later, such as a title, a name tag or an end screen. Montage places it in your next videos when you ask.

Save a component

  1. In a video, find the piece you want to keep: a title, a name tag, an end screen.
  2. Ask: « Save this as a component ».
  3. It appears in Library, under Components, playing as a little video.

Use a component

  1. In Library, open the component: it plays on its own, again and again.
  2. Press Use this component. New video opens with it picked.
  3. Or, in any box you write in, press +, then From the Library, and pick one or more.

One component, every video

A video uses the component from your Library, it never copies it. When the component changes, every video that uses it changes too.

Deleting a component. It leaves the Library, and videos that use it lose it.

Questions

What is the difference between a style and a component?

A style is how the whole video looks, said in words. A component is one piece Montage places in the video.

Who can use my components?

Everyone in your workspace: the Library is the team’s.

Can I change a component?

Ask Montage in a video. Remember that the change shows in every video that uses it.
