The sound alone

Sound only gives you everything heard in your video, voice, music and sounds mixed, as one WAV file.

Export the sound

  1. Open your video and press Export.
  2. Pick Sound only. The window says « Just what is heard » and about how big the file will be.
  3. Press Export. The WAV goes to your Downloads, named after your video.

Montage mark None: the mark is only on a picture

Sound with the video, in WAV? In the Mac app, a video can carry WAV sound: it then goes in a MOV file. Export settings and presets

Questions

Can I get the voice and the music as separate files?

No: Sound only gives one file, everything mixed as you hear it in the video.

Why does the Free plan show the upgrade window for a sound?

On Free, Export always opens that window first. Press Export with the mark: the sound itself has no mark.

Can I close the page while it is made?

In Chrome, Edge or Brave on a computer, keep it open until it’s done. In Safari, Firefox or on a phone, Montage makes it and you can close the page.
