Ask for a change

Open your video, write or say what you want different in Ask, and Montage changes the video. Each change is kept, so you can always go back.

Ask, step by step

  1. Open your video. On a computer, Ask is the first tab of the card on the right.
  2. Write in the box: « Ask for a change… ». Say it like you would to an editor: « Cut the pause at 0:17 », « Captions bigger ».
  3. Or press the mic and speak. Montage writes what it hears; press the mic again to stop.
  4. Press Enter or the arrow to send. Shift + Enter starts a new line.
  5. Montage works: you see the time since you asked, and « Montage is looking » around the picture when it watches a moment. Then the player shows the new version.

What the box can add

In the box What it does
+ then Add footage Adds videos, music or pictures from your computer, sent with your message.
+ then From the Library Picks a style or a component your team saved. It shows as a chip over your words.
The AI model chip Haiku, Sonnet or Opus for this change. Choose the AI model
The mic Speak instead of typing.

Every change is kept

Each change Montage makes becomes a line of the video’s History, with a short name of what is different. You can watch any line and go back to it. Undo a change

Montage answers one message at a time. While it works, the box waits: send your next change once it is done.

Credits

Each change uses credits, more with a bigger model. When your credits are out, Montage stops before the change and says so; your video is safe and Export still works. See the plans shows under its answer.
