Undo a change

Every change Montage makes is a line of the video's History. Watch any line, and go back to it if you like it better.

Go back, step by step

  1. Open your video and press the History tab.
  2. Press a line. The player shows the video as it was then, with its name above the picture.
  3. Press Go back to this to keep it, or Back to now to return to the latest version.

What a line shows

Newest first: the change’s name (« Captions in the Curiosity style »), who asked, and how long ago. The top line has Now. A line made by going back keeps the name of the version it brings back, with Restored.

Nothing is lost. Going back adds a new line on top; the versions after it stay in the History, and you can go back to them too.

Questions

Why can’t I go back right now?

Montage is working on a change. Go back once it is done.

Does going back use credits?

No. It reopens a version that already exists; the AI does not work.

Does going back remove my comments?

No. Comments belong to the video, not to a version: they stay as they are.
