We're building the video editor of the future.

Montage shortens the time between an idea and the finished video.

Montage: a video with comments on the picture
Why the timeline is gone

The timeline is the old way.

Video editors have looked the same for twenty, thirty years: a timeline, clips, and their properties. So we took the timeline out. Now you watch your video, you comment on the picture, and Montage does the edit.

Creativity stays human

Montage does the edit. The ideas stay yours.

A lot of people are scared that AI will replace them. Honestly, I don't believe that. Montage takes the technical stuff off your hands, so nothing stands between your idea and your video.

What stays yours
The idea
The story
The taste

I started Montage to build the video editor for the AI era.

So I started over from a blank page, with one question: what is the goal, and what is actually useful? That's how the timeline went out, and how comments on the picture came in.

Montage is still in beta. When something breaks, click the little bug at the bottom left of Montage and say what happened. It comes straight to me.
