Montage, now on
your Mac.
The same Montage, on your computer: your videos stay where they are, and the export uses your computer's video chip, in ProRes, H.265 or HDR.

Why an app.
Montage started in the browser, and it stays there. But a browser has limits we kept running into: it has to send every video before you can start, it can't read some camera files, and it can't use your computer's video chip to export.
So we made Montage for Mac. It is the same Montage, on your computer.
Your files stay where they are.
Drop a video and Montage reads it where it is, on your disk. Nothing to wait for before you start: you edit while Montage saves your video to your account in the background, so it also opens on the web, on your phone and on a share link.
An export made by your computer.
The export reads your original files, at their full quality, and uses your computer's video chip. You choose what comes out, like in a pro editor:
- ProRes, H.265 or H.264, the size and the pictures per second you want.
- HDR stays HDR when what you filmed is HDR: an iPhone's HDR video comes out as bright as it was shot.
- Presets: one for YouTube, one for your client's masters. Save your own and use them again.
The file lands in your Movies folder, and Montage shows it to you.
Everything else is the same.
Same account, same videos, same plan. A video you started on the web opens in the app, and the other way around. Comments, share links and your team work as they do today. Your AI too: connected to Montage, it can now ask the app on your computer to add a video or export one.
Get it.
Montage for Mac needs a Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later). Montage for Windows is coming soon. It is free to download; you sign in with your Montage account, and the app updates itself.
What's next.
Macs with an Intel chip, and Montage on iPhone, are on the roadmap. Vote for what you want first: it's how we choose.
See you in Montage.
